baby Jackson Ezra {Marblehead Newborn Photographer}

Beautiful baby brother Jackson. It’s almost as if his big sister copied her face and put it right on her new brother. They were so sweet, so much fun to photograph and lots of laughs while I was there. Love my job because of people like these!

Emmerson Mae {Boston Newborn Photographer}

I think this little girl was wanted before her mom and dad even knew she was to be. And there is no shortage of love for her beautiful self!

Lindsay and baby #2 {Marblehead MA~maternity photographer}

Lindsay take 2. Loved loved loved photographing this gorgeous mama. She is a natural in front of the camera (very rare!) and is as sweet as she is beautiful. Can’t wait to meet number 2!

Vanessa and the Magic Hour Foundation {Jennifer Shore, Swampscott,MA}

It has taken me too long to blog this particular session. I am about 7 months behind on blogging as it is, but this one in particular should have been done right away. Mostly because I want everyone to see how amazing this woman Vanessa is. I wrote about her a bit on my FB page and am going to copy most of what I said there.  But I have to add that the images here are all in COLOR because that is what this woman is.  She is full of life, vibrancy and color even though she has to be such a fighter, such a warrior right now and for the past few years.  Looking at these images even now show nothing of the physical pain and suffering Vanessa was in at that very moment.  If there is anything to be said about the human spirit and how it can overcome, Vanessa is a shining example.  I added images of her laughing so hard with her wonderful sister that she is doubled over. I added images of them making goofy faces and doing goofy things. The last image was a request by them to get their footprints in the sand as they walked away together. If you are a photographer please think about joining the Magic Hour Foundation.  I am so grateful for them for reaching out to me and giving me the opportunity to help if possible through my photographs.  Here is what I said on FB:

Recently I was contacted by a new organization called The Magic Hour Foundation (http://www.magichourfoundation.org/) to see if I would donate a session to a local woman who is fighting cancer. The very day they contacted me I had been thinking how can I give back with my photography in a way that is meaningful. It was serendipitous when their note came in and last night I had my session with a very beautiful woman (both inside and out). named Vanessa. Her sister is visiting from California so we were able to get the both of them in the photos. The humor, love and plain positive attitude was so uplifting and lovely. Vanessa was obviously in pain and tired but she was adamant that we get a photo of her jumping on the beach. Really, it was the most amazing jump I ever saw. Not because it was olympic style but because within that jump I saw a true fighter that loves life and wants to continue to love life. I guess she would say she is a “warrior” and I would whole-heartedly agree.

The Magic Hour Foundation is still in the forming process and I am grateful that they found me! If you are a photographer and this is something you might like to be a part of, please contact them!

She has a wonderful family and I love love love getting to photograph them! And you can see her mom is completely beautiful as well.

Baby Erin

This sweet little girl was delicious. Seriously. Look at her hair! She was perfect in every way and as always it is so fun for me to meet the babies from my belly to baby clients. You can see the “belly” part of the session HERE . The day I met and photographed Erin was dark and dreary but she brightened up everything with her tiny body. Mom and dad were so proud and so relaxed…wish I could have been that relaxed when I had my little ones! Introducing Erin:

V Family take two!

So happy to have these beautiful kiddos in front of my camera again. Their mom and dad were so gracious and kind to me over this past year that I asked if I could please offer a mini session for them. Will and Tessa are at the age of speed. Meaning they do not stop EVER! And they are so full of joy that I ran as fast as I could after them to try to capture some of it in an image. I am sad that this family is moving in a few months and I wish them nothing but the good things they deserve.

  • About Jennifer Shore Photography

  • As long as I can remember, I have loved being connected to kids. I always knew that I would have a life working with children in some form. Since my other big interest has been human behavior, I ended up with a formal education in Child Development / Family Relations and a master's degree in clinical social work. As a school therapist for children with emotional and behavioral special needs, it was still possible for me to see beauty in even the most difficult and disturbed child. Luckily right around the time I was doing this work, I was also exploring my other favorite interest, photography.

    One day I decided to bring a camera into work. The results were amazing. The children loved to see themselves in photographs and I LOVED to take pictures of them. With the help of my photography teacher and best friend, photographer Andrew Xenios, I ended up having an exhibition of the kids I worked with. The pictures seemed to capture the essence of each person; even the most troubled child was still beautiful. From there, it was just a natural progression to become a portrait photographer.

    The fact that I am just a big kid myself has helped me gain a wonderful perspective on children and their families. Photographing children provides me with the opportunity to show others the joy I see inside every one of them. This is what I want for my clients, to capture the moments when they feel most childlike, most at ease; as these are the moments when our true beauty is revealed.
