Talk about easy!  These kids not only seemed to enjoy the camera, but they really enjoyed each other!  The light was beautiful for this session….overcast but with bright skies.  Look how they are lit up….some from nature and some from within!

Eddie and his mom

Another from the portrait party. I could have photographed him all day! At first he said he didn’t want any photos taken of him but he warmed up in 2 seconds and let me do whatever I wanted. Once his brother Charlie warmed up he was amazing in front of the camera. Look at his eyes!h 7

Abby

This little girl has such a sweet look about her. I did a portrait party in Dover, MA yesterday and I am just starting to edit the images. I thought I would add this one for now!

Hip Baby Gear display

Monica Winter of Hip Baby Gear in Marblehead asked me to put some photos up on her walls when they expanded their space. It was hard to choose images from the many beautiful families I get to photograph! In the end I was happy with how it turned out. Monica has been super kind and easy-going, letting me do whatever I wanted. Such great wall space there! A photographer’s dream!

Caroline

It has been such a privilege to photograph this little girl since she was still in her mommy’s tummy. She is now turning one and her mom wanted to get some photos for her birthday invitations. Look at those eyes! She is stunning!

Mindy

Mindy is one of those women that just glows when they are pregnant. She has such a wonderful spirit and was a photographers dream as she was open to anything I suggested. She was one day overdue when I photographed her (look how great she looks!) and had the baby the following night. She had a beautiful baby girl named Nina….those photographs are coming next!

Ethan

The other day I was lucky enough to photograph this beautiful 8-year-old boy Ethan. I know his mom and she wanted to take advantage of the Father’s day mini-sessions I was offering. It was only 30 minutes but I could have photographed him all day. He was so easy in front of the camera and he and his mom have such a warm relationship. I have plenty of images for them to choose from for their Accordian Wallet books!

  • About Jennifer Shore Photography

  • As long as I can remember, I have loved being connected to kids. I always knew that I would have a life working with children in some form. Since my other big interest has been human behavior, I ended up with a formal education in Child Development / Family Relations and a master's degree in clinical social work. As a school therapist for children with emotional and behavioral special needs, it was still possible for me to see beauty in even the most difficult and disturbed child. Luckily right around the time I was doing this work, I was also exploring my other favorite interest, photography.

One day I decided to bring a camera into work. The results were amazing. The children loved to see themselves in photographs and I LOVED to take pictures of them. With the help of my photography teacher and best friend, photographer Andrew Xenios, I ended up having an exhibition of the kids I worked with. The pictures seemed to capture the essence of each person; even the most troubled child was still beautiful. From there, it was just a natural progression to become a portrait photographer.

The fact that I am just a big kid myself has helped me gain a wonderful perspective on children and their families. Photographing children provides me with the opportunity to show others the joy I see inside every one of them. This is what I want for my clients, to capture the moments when they feel most childlike, most at ease; as these are the moments when our true beauty is revealed.
