Not only do I get to photograph beautiful families, but also families that are so relaxed and easy going.  Makes my job not a job at all!

Susan's boys! More from the beach portrait party!

I wish I had these boys’ hair.  By this point in the day the sun was HIGH and the shadows were harsh.  But their sweet little faces shone through anyway!

These brothers could not look more different from each other.  How amazing are their eyes?  These boys had so much energy….I feel lucky that I captured their incredible faces!  And I actually have one of all 3 of them together!  That made my day!

Both Leah and Christopher loved the water!  I couldn’t stop laughing enough to take photos of the baby in the waves.  So sweet.

Ali, Kate, Marty, and Jimmy. Soooo cute!

I started photographing this nice family when there was just Kate.  Now there a 3 little beauties.  All three are the kinds of kids that you just want to eat up because they are so delicious!

When I look at these images I feel like they could have been taken in a different time….she is so classic looking.  As usual I wish I had more time to spend with this little girl, her baby brother and her mom!

Okay, I have to say that this little girl is SERIOUSLY GORGEOUS!  And so is her mom!  I have to photograph them more and for longer than just our 20 minute mini-session.  I need a whole day with her!  What a classic beauty and I love that she hasn’t cut her hair yet.  Ever.  Don’t do it!

  • About Jennifer Shore Photography

  • As long as I can remember, I have loved being connected to kids. I always knew that I would have a life working with children in some form. Since my other big interest has been human behavior, I ended up with a formal education in Child Development / Family Relations and a master's degree in clinical social work. As a school therapist for children with emotional and behavioral special needs, it was still possible for me to see beauty in even the most difficult and disturbed child. Luckily right around the time I was doing this work, I was also exploring my other favorite interest, photography.

One day I decided to bring a camera into work. The results were amazing. The children loved to see themselves in photographs and I LOVED to take pictures of them. With the help of my photography teacher and best friend, photographer Andrew Xenios, I ended up having an exhibition of the kids I worked with. The pictures seemed to capture the essence of each person; even the most troubled child was still beautiful. From there, it was just a natural progression to become a portrait photographer.

The fact that I am just a big kid myself has helped me gain a wonderful perspective on children and their families. Photographing children provides me with the opportunity to show others the joy I see inside every one of them. This is what I want for my clients, to capture the moments when they feel most childlike, most at ease; as these are the moments when our true beauty is revealed.
