Baby Dylan….newborn sweetness once again.

I loved photographing Dylan….she was perfectly sleepy, perfectly happy and just plain perfect all around.  Some of you may remember her beautiful mom from the maternity images you can find HERE from a few months ago.   Caroline and her husband Todd now have 3 little ones and somehow (or maybe because of this!) they keep their sense of humor and fun.   I could have sat and talked with Caroline all day….well, I basically did!   It was so nice to spend time with beautiful baby Dylan and her family.  Thank you!

The “O” Family

I was so excited to photograph this family because the girls are 9 and almost 7 years old. If you ever have tried to photograph kids, you know that girls this age are like a dream. The light was amazing and I loved the way it lit up this family. Michelle and Peter were so easy as well and although Michelle kept saying that she had never done this and didn’t know what to do….I think you’ll see that she did just fine. I love the sunflares and hazy light in these because they make me feel like all the warmth of summer is surrounding these kids! They are a beautiful family and as always it is a pleasure to get to meet the nicest people doing what I love.

I loved the movement of her hair on this one. She was doing twirls in the marsh!

Baby Will

Sweet Will. This beautiful baby slept almost the entire time I photographed him. When he was awake he would look into his mother or father’s eyes with the most intent stare….like an old soul. Of course they looked back with happy eyes….how could they not. I’m so lucky to do what I do and capture these amazing and fleeting moments. Congratulations Alison and Dave and thank you for allowing me to keep on taking “just one more” shot!

The “L” family

I had such a good time photographing this family. I know I always say that I meet the nicest people doing what I do but really it is not a lie. The “L” family is no exception. They have a beautiful little girl filled with personality and curls, a delicious new baby boy, a supermodel mom (for real) and a kind and gentle dad. The little ones are filled with a sweetness that obviously has something to do with their parents. Thank you for being so laid back and it was a pleasure to meet all of you!

  • About Jennifer Shore Photography

  • As long as I can remember, I have loved being connected to kids. I always knew that I would have a life working with children in some form. Since my other big interest has been human behavior, I ended up with a formal education in Child Development / Family Relations and a master's degree in clinical social work. As a school therapist for children with emotional and behavioral special needs, it was still possible for me to see beauty in even the most difficult and disturbed child. Luckily right around the time I was doing this work, I was also exploring my other favorite interest, photography.

One day I decided to bring a camera into work. The results were amazing. The children loved to see themselves in photographs and I LOVED to take pictures of them. With the help of my photography teacher and best friend, photographer Andrew Xenios, I ended up having an exhibition of the kids I worked with. The pictures seemed to capture the essence of each person; even the most troubled child was still beautiful. From there, it was just a natural progression to become a portrait photographer.

The fact that I am just a big kid myself has helped me gain a wonderful perspective on children and their families. Photographing children provides me with the opportunity to show others the joy I see inside every one of them. This is what I want for my clients, to capture the moments when they feel most childlike, most at ease; as these are the moments when our true beauty is revealed.
