Family “I”!

I met Nicole, Dave, Hailey and Charlotte at a beautiful farm in Ipswich that Nicole suggested. I was in heaven when I drove up the road past these amazing fields filled with late afternoon sunshine. And then when I met this beautiful family….well, let’s just say that I took my camera out as fast as possible! The cows kept us company while we photographed and although I don’t have any photos of the cows, their mooing kept us smiling! The image of Dave holding Charlotte is one of my favorites from the session because I was facing away taking a photo of Nicole and Hailey and turned around for a second to see Dave looking with so much love at his little baby girl. I’m so glad I caught that moment! Thank you “I” family! It was a pleasure to meet you and your beautiful girls.

Deb’s Family

Thank you Deb for calling me and having me photograph your beautiful family. I think I was looking forward to it more than you were! I loved our pre-session conversations and am so happy and honored that you chose me to capture this moment in your life. I enjoyed every second of editing your images and smiled throughout. Ellie’s red shoes, Tad’s mischievous smile and Jack’s model good looks made it so much fun. Enjoy your sneak peek!

Fionn take two….

Sometimes in life you meet people that you just automatically click with….that is how I have felt with this family. I met them last year when I photographed Fionn for the first time. I was so happy that they wanted to do another session this fall as well and even happier that this time Dad could be there too. Fionn is a VERY loved little boy who shows that same love back to his parents and also his blankie that he has loved to pieces (literally). The blanket made it’s annual appearance at our session as it is also very much a part of their lives. I hope I can continue to see Fionn grow and spend more time with this family! Thank you Sarah, Peter and Fionn! It’s always so nice to spend some time with you capturing your love of your family!

Just a fun outtake!

The “W” Fun Family. For real.

I know I say this every time….but I had such a blast photographing this family. The grandparents on down to the littlest grandchild were full of energy and laughter. I had to tell the grandparents to please stop trying to make the little ones laugh (not a hard task at all!) because then they were coming out goofy in the photos. They were all so gracious and seriously great to be around. And such a beautiful family (families) as well. I love my job!

Family “M”

Family “M” is high energy, super fun and was such a pleasure to spend some time with. Mom is a principal of a school and dad is a politician….finding a time to meet was a challenge that worked out perfectly in the end. We had this dramatic light with black skies behind us and amazing sun in front. The girls are beautiful and even the dog was a superstar during our session! Thank you “M” family! Please enjoy your giant sneak peek!

Griffin and Hadley….

I had so much fun having this session for Monica W. Monica is a co-owner of a great baby boutique called  Hip Baby Gear in downtown Marblehead.  If you get a chance you should go and check it out (and not because I have a diplay on the wall there!) as they have a great selection of cool things for baby on up.  Griffin and Hadley were in the right mood for the camera and I loved them hamming it up for me. Her two little rascaloids (is that a word?) were so sweet this day and as usual I cannot resist putting up a huge sneak peek.  Thank you Monica!!!!

Ryann

This little girl was SO WONDERFUL to photograph. She was happy, sweet, beautiful and I never, ever wanted to stop taking pictures! Unfortunately the sun started to go down and it was getting cold and it was time. But I loved photographing this wonderful family. They are a warm bunch of people and I’m sad to say they are moving away soon. I hope they don’t stay away long so I can photograph Ryann again one day in the near future.

Nina

This is the second little baby this year that I photographed that is almost more than a miracle if that is possible. Nina is BEAUTIFUL, but then take a look at her momma! Jessica just glowed….usually women glow while pregnant and then feel very tired in the first few weeks after the baby is born….but Jessica seriously was just plain happiness. I loved spending time with Jessica during the in-between moments of photographing. Newborn sessions involve a lot of patience and waiting for the baby to sleep, eat and do whatever they need. I don’t mind these “waiting” moments as they allow me to get to know the moms better. I have often walked away with feeling like I have a new friend. That is how I felt with Jessica. Baby Nina was perfect during our session and I am so happy for Jessica and her husband (who I wish I could have met!).

Michelle, Kevin and baby ?

I was so happy to meet at the apple orchard for Michelle and Kevin in the early morning. The light was beautiful, Michelle looked amazing and hubby Kevin was especially sweet to carry everything around as we searched for the right spot. I love doing maternity sessions because they are so happy….there is nothing better to celebrate than the miracle of a new life. This little baby is due NOW and I wonder if he/she is being born as I’m writing! I am looking forward to photographing their new child soon!

Kim, Rob, Siena and Charley

GORGEOUS family. When I saw the bright red curls and then the bright blond curls coming out of their car, I wanted to run everyone over to where we were going. I couldn’t wait to get this family in front of my camera! They were so wonderful to photograph and so loving to each other. The little ones had these huge personalities in their petite bodies and I never wanted to stop pressing the shutter button. You might get the idea when you see how gigantic this “sneak peek” is! Couldn’t help myself. Kim and Rob had brought music with them in case we needed it as a last resort for tired kiddos but we never did. They brought it out anyway at the end and I have to say that if I only had a quarter of the rhythm and moves that these little girls have then I would probably be dancing all night every night. Unfortunately seeing me dance can be scary so I will show you something very beautiful instead….this amazing family.

  • About Jennifer Shore Photography

  • As long as I can remember, I have loved being connected to kids. I always knew that I would have a life working with children in some form. Since my other big interest has been human behavior, I ended up with a formal education in Child Development / Family Relations and a master's degree in clinical social work. As a school therapist for children with emotional and behavioral special needs, it was still possible for me to see beauty in even the most difficult and disturbed child. Luckily right around the time I was doing this work, I was also exploring my other favorite interest, photography.

One day I decided to bring a camera into work. The results were amazing. The children loved to see themselves in photographs and I LOVED to take pictures of them. With the help of my photography teacher and best friend, photographer Andrew Xenios, I ended up having an exhibition of the kids I worked with. The pictures seemed to capture the essence of each person; even the most troubled child was still beautiful. From there, it was just a natural progression to become a portrait photographer.

The fact that I am just a big kid myself has helped me gain a wonderful perspective on children and their families. Photographing children provides me with the opportunity to show others the joy I see inside every one of them. This is what I want for my clients, to capture the moments when they feel most childlike, most at ease; as these are the moments when our true beauty is revealed.
